IN VITRO BIOASSAY
At Arterra we have developed a platform with more than 100 in vitro assays to identify the effects of our actives on the synthesis of key genes and proteins in different cellular processes, on the activities of the most important enzymes, on metabolic processes and on different physiological states of cells.
agriculture
We identify molecules with biostimulating and plant defence activities by evaluating the effects on the expression profiles of key genes in response to biotic and abiotic stress.
food
Thanks to our in vitro assay platform we are able to identify molecules that act as natural preservatives in animal and plant fresh food products.
cosmetics
We identify the effect of active ingredients on skin cells through the measurement of genes and proteins responsible for the proper functioning of the skin physiology such as hydration, strengthening of the extracellular matrix, defense against oxidative stress and many other key processes of skin ageing and skin well-being.
medical devices
We use gastric, intestinal, neuronal, immune and epidermal cells to identify natural bioactive compounds able to promote the maintenance of intestinal well-being and preventing the harmful effect of various types of stress.
pharmaceutics
Arterra developed screening platforms with various cell lines: gastric, intestinal, neuronal, immune, epidermal. We are able to study molecular pathways associated with pathological conditions and we have a platform to identify new compounds capable to correct these alterations.
nutraceutics
We have a wide repertoire of in vitro assays on gastric, intestinal, neuronal, immune and epidermal cells that allow us to identify natural bioactive compounds capable to promote the maintenance of intestinal well-being.
